7th Salon des Associations in Strasbourg

The 7th Salon des Associations took place in Wacken, Strasbourg last weekend. LUG of Strasbourg had a booth to spread the word about the LUG activities and Open Source softwares.
Mirjam took some pictures:

We distributed Fedora DVDs, {Kubuntu,Edubuntu,Ubuntu} cds and Knoppix Livecds and lots of flyers/handouts. People tend to appreciate livecds and in most cases are eager to participate during an Install Party organised by the LUG. As usual Antoine described his marvellous XEN theory, it's just hilarious to have him around.

I had the FC6 fedora-logos-6.0.6-1.fc6 installed, and it was greatly appreciated by the public and other linux users. Alexandre Franke and I demonstrate the beauty of XGL on Dapper and Fedora ore 5 Bordeaux respectively all the weekend. Mirjam did a great job in using simple words to describe linux and its philosophy to newbies :)

It was simply great to be on the ground and to be among the LUG of Strasbourg's members :) Next weekend, the LUG of Strasbourg will be at La Place Broglie, Strasbourg for the Science day as from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 October 2006. See you there. Updated: More photos of the "Salon des Associations" can be found on FredericMossmann's website :)
